TIA's ongoing commitment to building the independence of the assisted villages and supporting the achievement of the Village SDGs

JAKARTA, June 23, 2022 — PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA) won the Silver category at the Corporate Sustainability Report & Sustainable Village Development (CSR & PDB) Awards 2022 event. The achievement of this award is part of TIA's consistency in building the Independence of the fostered villages around its operational areas in Sebamban, South Kalimantan which was translated through a CSR program entitled “Building Village Self-Reliance Program through BUM Desa”. The implementation of these CSR activities has been running since 2015, which also involves the active participation of the community and local Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).

Dadik Kiswanto as Director of PT Tunas Inti Abadi explained, we also welcome the acquisition of this award and hope that this CSR activity can continue to provide many positive impacts for the community, especially to create new job opportunities so that it can build harmonious relations between the company and the community and support the goals village sustainable development (SDGs desa).

“In meeting its operational needs, TIA is committed to promoting transparent and fair cooperation through partnerships with BUMDes. By running this scheme, of course, it is important for us to share knowledge directly with partners and the surrounding community, so that they can have capabilities that are in accordance with industry standards, "explained Dadik.

PT ABM Investama Tbk. (ABM) also gives appreciation and support as the holding company of TIA for the award at this prestigious event. Andi Djajanegara as ABM's President Director explained that the efforts made by TIA in supporting regional growth are a real step for the ABM Group to provide positive benefits in each of its operational areas. "ABM always appreciates and encourages partnerships with stakeholders like this to always be developed, as the contribution of the ABM Group to participate in increasing local potential capacity and sustainable regional growth," said Andi.

The 2022 CSR & PDB Awards are the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF). It was recorded that 64 national scale companies participated in this prestigious event, with a total of 92 entries for the program.

Apart from this CSR activity, TIA also synergizes with ABM Investama and its entities to encourage the achievement of the SDGs, which are realized through activities such as; planting seeds & mangrove conservation, rehabilitation of critical watersheds (DAS), community empowerment through freshwater fish cultivation, to implementing community community institutions to support self-reliance by empowering community groups for Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK).

“Receiving this award cannot be separated from the hard work of the entire ABM Group family who are always committed to implementing good mining practices. We hope that in the future we can maintain this achievement and be able to have a positive impact on the environment and society," concluded Dadik.
