Jakarta, 3 September 2020. PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group), a subsidiary of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABM), continues to strengthen the capacity of Human Resources (HR) and technology to anticipate the growth of the national logistics market in 2021. Based on Indonesia Logistics and Warehousing Market by Sector (Freight Forwarding, Warehousing, VAS) by Domestic and International Services - Outlook to 2021), Indonesia's logistics market is projected to reach US $ 240 billion or the equivalent of IDR 3,360 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 14,000 per US dollar) by 2021.

One of the successes of the CKB Group’s HR is the completion of the logistics project services of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK) which is engaged in EPC (engineering, procurement and construction). This project is a steel box girder mobilization for the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated elevated toll road which includes the provision of prime movers, multi axles, turn tables, support tools, lashing, wire rope, slings, chains, electricity and labor.

"The project is running well and smoothly because of the experience of the experts and the integrated services we provide," said Iman Sjafei, President Director of PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group).

Iman further explained that the total number of steel box girders mobilized reached 422 units with the heaviest load of 80 tons and the longest size of 60 meters. The mobilization was carried out in stages and was completed in approximately 9 months. Mobilization of steel box girders starting from KM 9 to KM 46 which is carried out at night until morning, involves police escort to maintain the safety and security of project workers and traffic users.

A careful survey process, analysis of the operation plan, route and type of transportation are key factors for successful delivery, which are part of the CKB Group solution to meet customer expectations. The project is faced with various challenges in terms of geography and minimal infrastructure in Indonesia, so the CKB Group plays an important role in preparing the necessary infrastructure such as strengthening bridges so that they can be crossed by project transportation vehicles.

In addition, the punctuality of operations when using sea transportation with challenging climates and weather must be handled and managed properly by the field team. With the extensive experience possessed by the CKB Group for more than 2 decades in handling various logistics projects, this steel box girder cargo shipment can be successfully delivered on time safely and smoothly.

CKB Group has more than 20 years of experience in the logistics industry with integrated services. The services provided by the company range from transportation management, warehousing management, project logistics, bonded logistics centers, and port management. In addition, the company also provides logistics services and management of drilling materials, cargo delivery, loading and unloading to integrated marine transportation for dry bulk.

Iman added "We also have an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that can centralize operations throughout our organization, ensuring an efficient and automated flow of information,".

With this technology, companies can improve business processes and encourage higher system efficiency, as well as resource management from upstream to downstream.

"We are optimistic that the human resource capabilities and the development and application of technology will make the logistics services provided by the company better and more solid in anticipation of the sizeable growth of the national logistics market," concluded Iman.
