Tunas Inti Abadi and PT Baruna Dirga Dharma, ABM Investama Business Group Give Basic Needs for Community Outside the Mine Ring Affected by COVID-19

PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA) and PT Baruna Dirga Dharma (BDD), two entities of the integrated energy company business group PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABM) in the South Kalimantan operational area, provide basic needs packages to the community in the mine's outer ring area, in the coast of Bunati and Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. This activity is an initiation from the Mining Engineering Head Forum (FKTT) and the South Kalimantan Community Empowerment Program (PPM) Forum.

A total of 750 basic needs packages were handed over directly by the TIA Hari Sutikno's Head of Mining Engineering (KTT) to the Head of Mineral and Coal Division of the South Kalimantan Provincial Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), A. Gunawan Harjito, last Tuesday (21/4). Initially, assistance will be delivered to the COVID-19 affected communities on the coast of Bunati, Tanah Bumbu Regency, the company's operational area, as well as the cities of Banjarbaru and Banjarmasin. In addition to basic needs, some time before the company had also distributed portable sink assistance in a number of public facilities and social facilities, as well as government agency offices in Tanah Bumbu district.

"It has been our commitment as business people to support the government in dealing with the impact of the covid-19 virus outbreak on society. We hope this assistance can ease the burden on the community, especially around our operational areas, "said Hari Sutikno, TIA Mining Engineering Head.

Bunati is one of the centers of transportation and shipping of commodities, especially coal, both for the domestic and international markets. BDD itself is part of the PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB) business group that provides integrated coal transportation services, and has business links with the ABM Group.

For additional information, the ABM Group through its subsidiaries operating in most parts of Indonesia also intensively provides assistance such as multivitamins, masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectant booths that use germs killer that are safe for use by the communities around their operational areas. In addition to the above, CKB has also recently distributed PPE assistance to medical staff in a number of puskesmas in 4 cities including Samarinda, Banjarmasin, Surabaya and Balikpapan. Until now the total assistance for handling COVID-19 that has been distributed by the ABM Group is around more than Rp.2.2 billion or equivalent to more than 50,000 units of N95 masks, 200 PPE, 20 sinks, and 2 units of operational support vehicles for the Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force.
