The logistics industry was one of the sectors that was most affected by the early COVID-19 pandemic. But now, this sector has given brilliant feedback and become one of the fastest recovering sectors after 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The recovery of the logistics industry cannot be separated from the role of many parties, including the government, the private sector, and the community themselves.

Various contributions by the government have also been very helpful to support the recovery of the logistics industry business. Moreover, the current situation of the national economy has also begun to recover, therefore this also encourages improvements in various sectors. In addition, Hari Raya Idul Fitri is also one of the factors that trigger the growth of the logistics sector.

Quoted from the website of the Association of Indonesian Express Delivery Service Companies (Asperindo), in 2022, the shipping service business is projected to continue to increase.

The General Chair of Asperindo, M. Feriadi, said that the logistics industry could continue to grow because it has become one of the main needs of the community, especially after the entry of the e-commerce era. It is undeniable that the COVID-19 pandemic has in fact changed people's consumption patterns from offline shopping to online shopping.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded that the transportation and warehousing sector grew by 15.79 percent (yoy) in the first quarter of 2022.

Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Margo Yuwono, stated that the growth in this sector was due to an increase in people’s mobility that it also had an impact on public transportation. The increase in people's mobility can be seen from the increase in activity which has also improved after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic

If we monitored through Google Mobility data processed by BPS, Margo said that the mobility of people in the first three months of 2022 was recorded as the best since the beginning of the pandemic. This condition encourages recovery in the transportation and warehousing or logistics sector in the first three months of 2022.

Apart from the improvement of people’s mobility, another factor that has contributed to the recovery in the transportation and warehousing sector is the growing number of community events, both nationally and internationally, which also benefits the industrial sector.
